Drop Pounds Quickly

What do you think? Can we actually figure it out, how to drop pounds quickly and keep them off? Is getting to a healthy weight something anyone can master, or is it forever to be out of reach?

Well, to tell you the truth, I have had to really pay attention to what I was doing, for most of my life when it came to maintaining a healthy body weight. I mean growing up in my family, dessert was a daily treat, not just a once in a while occurrence. My mother loved to bake and the family as a whole always loved her creations. You know that old school baking from scratch, cakes, cookies, brownies and to this day, I have never eaten a better pie than the ones my Mom used to bake.

Follow that up with college and the dreaded "freshman 15" and no one mentions the potential for accumulation after that from cafeteria food and keg beer. Later on it's having kids and then working and running around with said kids and their schedules. I mean eating well and maintaining an exercise routine can easily go by the wayside. Until suddenly there you are, the kids are grown and along with that, so has your waistline.

But don't give up hope we do not need to resign ourselves to anything. If we truly desire to lose weight and even if it's a need to drop pounds quickly, it can be done! I have been taught that "If you believe it, you can achieve it." We do not hold dreams without the capacity within us to achieve our dreams.

So if it's the goal of dropping pounds quickly that you are hoping to achieve, well then you have got to take action on that. I am sure you have heard that eating well and exercise are how to go after this goal of weight loss. And so do you know what eating well entail? And how about exercise, does that mean committing to and paying for a gym membership in order to get it done?

How do you do it, how do you commit? There are a number of steps, but none of them are insurmountable, though all together they may seem unattainable. Well I believe the first step any of us needs to make, in our quest to drop pounds quickly, is to make up our mind what it is we really want, and then, write it down, commit it to paper, and then paste it up somewhere that you will see your goal regularly. Having your goal in mind, helps to make it more real and therefore more attainable.

And then make a plan, don't go all willy nilly into this, get serious, because anything worth having is worth working toward. And when you discover what works for you, keep with it. Consistency is the one of the best habits to form, none of us is perfect, but maintaining consistency in your plan will ultimately show you the best results. And be patient, but also persistent. Don't give up just because you slip up, we are all human, and nobody is perfect. Be patient with yourself, and stick with your plan, you can do it, I know you can!
