We should consider the deep-rooted reason we are clutching onto these articles of clothing. Could we be in doubt about our ability to maintain a stable weight, or do we doubt our weight loss
is permanent? We are actually expressing doubt in our determination and commitment to creating a healthy lifestyle. We are using our old clothes as a kind of security blanket to comfort us when we revert back to our old habits.
Disposing of these old clothes, which are just reminders of the past, is the ideal way to boost our belief and confidence in ourselves and affirm our determination to maintain our new habits and lifestyle. It is the perfect way to free ourselves from our old comfort zone, which will enable us to evolve, grow and expand our horizons which can only help us move forward, and stop us from looking back.
If we stopped smoking, we would have no difficulty throwing away an old pack of cigarettes, so why do we have an issue with disposing of our old over sized clothing?
We do not have to throw away our clothes, we could give them to the homeless or donate them to raise funds for charity, give them to family or friends, or if they are new or in excellent condition we could even sell them and invest the money in new clothes to compliment our new slim shape.
Once we have relieved ourselves of our over sized, unwanted clothing, we will be overcome by a feeling of freedom, and have a positive attitude for the future. From now on we can feel free to move forward with confidence instead of living in the past.
Now that our closet has been cleared, we can look forward to filling those spaces with a whole new wardrobe of stunning, beautiful outfits that flatter our new sleek physique and make us feel on top of the world.
